29 and Counting

For a cold, rainy, weekday birthday, yesterday was pretty great.

It started with a plumber telling us we have a broken pipe underneath our house and it ended with me having to lecture for 3 hours, but everything in-between those two events were wonderful… beautiful flowers, new music I’ve been longing for, a homemade pecan pie, a trip to the bookstore, sprinkles cupcake deliciousness, and a photo of my child that made me laugh until I cried.

An undeniably great start to a new year.
